No. 2484 FERRARI
26.01.1952, hand-signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to Aldo Dacco (Champion Italia), regarding contractual obligations and interests, Ferrari refers here to a personal conversation and existing contract document, which he now returns with amendments. His changes arose from the "desire to regulate everything as clearly and completely as possible". At the center is a lump-sum financial claim, which the "Commendatore" declares not as a profit but as pure cost recovery - specifically for expenses that he has paid himself because he has not received any support from Magneti Marelli despite competing in major Grand Prix races, he justifies this solely with the use of the competitor brand Champion. Enzo Ferrari points out that the conclusion of the contract with Champion has now also eliminated all "small and intuitive difficulties". Enzo deliberately omits a provision on his sales representatives in the draft contract, but expressly requests information on the conditions under which he is to recommend Champion products to selected partners - he mentions Cornacchia (Milan), Noncentini (Florence) and Santi (Rome) by name. Enzo Ferrari resolutely returns the promised supply of spark plugs and the payment of the prize money for 1951 from London. This unique letter offers an insight into the working methods of Enzo Ferrari as an entrepreneur and visionary, perforated, good condition

No. 2490 FERRARI
7.08.1952, 5 pages (incl. English translation) signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to "The George Horne Motor Co.", regarding exclusive cooperation and export of Ferrari vehicles to New Zealand. At the beginning, Enzo Ferrari confirms that Ferrari focuses more on the selection of its customers than on pure sales figures. "Ferrari attaches great importance to quality and exclusivity", which is why demand already exceeds production capacity in 1952 and production is deliberately limited. Enzo Ferari also reveals the production figures: "Ferrari produces just over 130 vehicles a year, 80% of which are for export and 20% for the Italian market." An increase in the number of units is not possible without jeopardizing quality and exclusivity. The Commendatore also mentions that "racing activities are a central component of the brand. Technological progress from racing flows directly into the road vehicles". In this letter, Enzo Ferrari expresses a strong interest in cooperation, particularly through a serious sporting initiative on the part of George Horne. Enzo Ferrari suggests the Ferrari 212 Inter or 212 Mille Miglia, or ideally both vehicles, for a market entry. Finally, he mentions the prices of the vehicles (5.2 million lire) and the coachwork design houses Pinin Farina, Vignale, Touring and Ghia. Attached to the letter is a technical data sheet Ferrari 212 Inter / Ferrari 212 Mille Miglia. First page signed by hand with the abbreviation "F", second page signed "Ferrari". Rare internal insight into Ferrari's company philosophy, production and structure, museum quality
