8.05.1982, original nameplate of the Ferrari 126C2 (#058), the car in which Gilles Villeneuve had a fatal accident on 8.05.1982 during practice runs for the Zolder Grand Prix. At the time, Renzo Setti was one of the senior engineers at Gestione Sportiva (Ferrari factory racing department) and was responsible, among other things, for analyzing accident vehicles. Despite the destruction of the vehicle shortly afterwards, Setti preserved this unique nameplate. The nameplate is accompanied by an original b/w photograph of Renzo Setti (center with striped shirt) with some engineers from Gestione Sportiva, dated 15.03.1982 (approx. 1 month before Villeneuve's tragic accident), 17.5x24cm. A historically and emotionally extraordinarily valuable individual piece.
