1939, winner's trophy "Grosser Bergpreis von Deutschland", Hermann Lang in a Mercedes Benz W 125 mountain racing car with a 5.6 liter engine. Hermann Lang won with a total time (two runs) of 20:07.90 minutes ahead of Hans Stuck and H.P.Müller in an Auto Union Type C. The race took place in very poor weather conditions and visibility was sometimes no more than 20 meters. Hermann Lang secured the title of "Großdeutscher Bergmeister" with this victory. He is clearly the best driver of the year, but the title of European champion can no longer be awarded by the responsible authority, the A.I.A.C.R. in Paris, after the outbreak of war. The trophy is mounted on a marble base, which bears a silver plaque with the engraving "NSKK - Winner "Grosser Bergpreis von Deutschland 1939 - Hühnlein", rarity, museum quality
