Ferrari explains that the installation of new splash guards requires extensive modifications and can therefore only be carried out at the factory in Modena. The letter also contains specific technical dimensions and instructions on how to prepare for the work.

This letter was written just a few months after the tragic Mille Miglia in 1957 and was written during one of Ferrari's most tense phases; an extremely rare primary document.

Ferrari provides information on the status of the repair work and explains that at least 20 working days are required to process the cylinder head. The factory expects delivery by the end of the month and points out that Sig. Vandelli had not communicated correctly.

Rare source on Ferrari's racing car development in the 1950s.

Ferrari explains that Carrozzeria Pinin Farina cannot produce any more convertible bodies and recommends that Boano do it instead. Boano is prepared to adapt the existing design to the customer's wishes and possibly present the vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show. An extremely rare one-off that documents the creation of an individually customized Ferrari Cabriolet project. Museum piece

Ferrari certainly reminds him of outstanding payments for repairs and deliveries that have been overdue for some time and asks for at least a partial payment. A very interesting letter as it was written just two months after the tragic Mille Miglia in 1957 and demonstrates Ferrari's financial pressure.
