1955, internal communication ("Communicatione Interna") with reference to the legendary Carrera Panamericana.This typewritten document is dated August 26, 1955 and refers to a press release from the Mexican newspaper Excélsior, which was also distributed in the Italian press at the time. In terms of content, it deals with the planned resumption of the famous road race under the name "Carrera Mexicana". The historical context is particularly interesting: after the Carrera was discontinued due to serious safety concerns and tragic accidents in international motorsport - including the disaster at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955 - the document reports on an initiative by the countries of Mexico and Peru to reorganize the race. The plan was to hold a six-day event over a distance of around 4,000 kilometers.
