25.10.1956, signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to Garage Francorchamps, regarding Leon Dernier's purchase request for Ferrari 250 Europa GT PF (#0419GT) and request for a Spyder conversion of the vehicle. Enzo Ferrari considers a sale possible after the presentation at the Brussels Motor Show, but he must reserve the right to consult Pinin Farina about the design of the bodywork. Should Pinin Farina agree to build a Spyder body with a soft top for the Brussels Motor Show, this would certainly be very interesting. Enzo Ferrari says that he has made an appointment with engineer Farina for next Saturday. After these talks, Enzo Ferrari will come back to Swaters so that he can make Mr. Dernier a concrete offer. Dernier bought the car immediately after the presentation at the Brussels Motor Show, but without the Spyder conversion. Attached to the letter is a hand-signed note from Swaters "Is it possible for us to deliver the Ferrari 419GT as a Spyder". Rare primary source on Ferrari customer handling in the 1950s

4.10.1957, signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to Jacques Swaters, regarding outstanding payments and financial bottlenecks at Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari informs of an outstanding balance of 1,052,973 lire. "As this is quite a substantial balance and considering our current cash situation, we take the liberty of sending you a copy of the current situation and kindly ask you to take action personally." This letter was written just a few months after the tragic Mille Miglia in 1957 and was written during one of Ferrari's most tense periods; an extremely rare primary document.
