No. 352 FERRARI / ARCHIVE SWATERS
9.01.1965, signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to Jacques Swaters (Ecurie Francorchamps). Ferrari first informs about the situation of Willy Mairesse, who had insisted on a decision by November. Ferrari had now made this decision and informed Swaters confidentially. Anything Swaters could do for Mairesse would be very welcome. Ferrari also wrote that it could no longer count on the reliable competitiveness of the 1963 and 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO. He then explains: "After January 15, we will know whether the Ferrari 250 LM will be homologated, after which we may consider applying for homologation of the Ferrari 275 GTB by March 15.At the beginning of the 1965 season, Ferrari was still hoping for GT homologation of the 250 LM - although the model was already racing under the prototype regulations and later even won Le Mans. However, the FIA refused GT homologation, which accelerated the transition to the 275 GTB as a possible GT successor. The close correspondence between Ferrari and Jacques Swaters documents this decisive phase in the transformation of the Ferrari sports car programs. Historically highly interesting letter
Limit: 22,000,00 €

No. 353 FERRARI / ARCHIVE SWATERS
9.04.1956, signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to Jacques Swaters (Garage Francorchamps). In it, Enzo Ferrari confirms the agreement with Lambert on the delivery of a Ferrari 250 Gran Turismo Coupé GT in the "Lusso" version. The customer will come to Modena in a few weeks, accompanied by Jacques Swaters, to finalize the details directly at the factory. With regard to Pierre Stasse, Ferrari explained that the 250 Gran Turismo was only scheduled for two events in the official 1956 sports program - the Giro di Sicilia and the Mille Miglia; participation in Liège-Rome-Liège was not planned. Ferrari offered to provide Stasse with a particularly well-prepared 250 GT Berlinetta for the season and asked for feedback. (Stasse later started together with Gendebien in the Ferrari 250 GT Europa PF #0373GT). The letter shows the close cooperation between Ferrari and the Ecurie Francorchamps as well as the early allocation of the 250GT sports cars and Ferrari's racing strategy in the mid-1950s, highly interesting document
Limit: 12,000,00 €

No. 354 FERRARI / ARCHIVE SWATERS
20.07.1956, signed letter from Enzo Ferrari to Pierre Stasse (Equipe Nationale Belge). In it, Ferrari comments on disagreements about the cost of works support at the race in Rouen and confirms that the technical assistance for the Belgian team's Ferrari 750 Monza (#0518M) was properly provided for. At the same time, the letter deals with the transport logistics to Le Mans, including the exact requirement that the cars must arrive at 8:20 a.m. on July 25, 1956. Ferrari offers to have the Belgian Ferrari 500TR (#0618MDTR) transported together with the Ferrari 500 TR Spyder Scaglietti (#0654MDTR) by Mr. Tapman, but expressly states that it accepts no responsibility for any delays. Rare contemporary document reflecting the close cooperation between Ferrari and the Belgian racing team in the mid-1950s.

No. 356 FERRARI / ARCHIVE SWATERS
5.02.1958, bundle of 2 hand-signed letters from Enzo Ferrari (one with abbreviation), The first letter is addressed to Pierre Stasse (E.N.B) and contains unusually personal insights into Ferrari's private life. Ferrari thanks him for the invitation, but explains that, despite a long period of reflection, he "could not possibly attend" because his wife had been seriously ill and confined to bed for over two months. The phrase "gravemente ammalata" underlines the fact that this was a serious, protracted illness that was putting a heavy emotional and organizational strain on Ferrari. Despite these circumstances, Ferrari assures that a visit to Belgium is still one of his firm intentions. The second letter is addressed to Swaters, and Ferrari sends Swaters a copy of the letter to Stasse in order to inform him transparently about the situation and the reasons for his refusal. These two letters form a rare duplicate that not only documents the close connection between Ferrari, Stasse and Swaters, but is also one of the few moments in which Enzo Ferrari speaks openly about his family burdens. Historical sources confirm that Laura Ferrari was indeed seriously ill for a long time in 1957-1958, which makes this letter particularly significant in terms of its content.particularly significant.
